| 2 |
This was my entry into the SCI-LUG 2nd Contest: Small Starfighter Build on flickr. The idea was to build a starfighter that would fit inside a box 14 studs by 14 studs by 5 bricks tall. There have been a huge number of entries; the judges are going to have a time of it.

| 4 |
The 14145Y-B was widely maligned by carrier crews for scraping the paint off the ceilings of the carrier hangar bays. Pilots of smaller craft despised the "yella-jacket" for the scratches it inflicted on their craft when in an adjacent bay.

| 5 |
But with high maneuverability due to its dual-engine design, and more than double the firepower of most carrier-launched starfighters, the pilots of the 14145Y-B loved the starfighter dearly. On the carrier HMS Grimace, it is said that the pilots chose to repaint the hangar ceilings -- and pay the expense of the paint -- rather than relinquish their precious fighters. After the decisive battle of Urasthmis in which the HMS Grimace lost every starfighter except the 14145Y-Bs, the hangar crews chose to sandblast the paint off the ceiling once and for all.
